As an Aircraft Electrical and Environmental Systems (E&E) specialist in the 2A6X6 career field, you will play a vital role in maintaining and troubleshooting electrical and environmental systems of aircraft within the Air Force. Your responsibilities will include inspecting, repairing, and servicing electrical components, as well as ensuring proper operation of environmental control systems. This position requires a strong technical background, attention to detail, and a commitment to ensuring aircraft functionality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Electrical Systems Maintenance: Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain aircraft electrical systems, including generators, wiring harnesses, circuit breakers, and lighting systems. Use diagnostic equipment and technical manuals to identify and resolve electrical malfunctions. Conduct preventive maintenance and perform component replacements to ensure optimal electrical system performance.

2. Environmental Systems Operation and Maintenance: Maintain and troubleshoot environmental control systems, such as air conditioning, heating, and pressurization systems. Conduct inspections, tests, and adjustments to ensure proper operation and adherence to safety and environmental standards. Perform repairs and replace faulty components to maintain the desired cabin environment.

3. Electrical System Testing and Calibration: Perform electrical system testing, including continuity checks, voltage measurements, and load testing, to ensure system integrity and functionality. Calibrate and adjust electrical and environmental control system components according to technical specifications. Maintain accurate records of tests, calibrations, and adjustments performed.

4. Safety and Compliance: Adhere to safety procedures and regulations when working with electrical systems and environmental control systems. Follow established protocols for handling hazardous materials and electrical components. Ensure compliance with technical orders, maintenance procedures, and safety guidelines. Report any safety concerns or incidents promptly.

5. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, and component replacements. Complete required maintenance forms, logs, and work orders. Generate reports on system status, maintenance requirements, and recommended improvements. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to provide updates on projects and ongoing maintenance efforts.

Qualifications:

- Comprehensive knowledge of aircraft electrical systems, components, and troubleshooting techniques.

- Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment and electrical testing tools.

- Familiarity with environmental control systems and their operation.

- Ability to interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and procedures.

- Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.

- Attention to detail and commitment to following strict protocols and safety guidelines.

- Physical fitness and the ability to perform tasks requiring lifting, bending, and prolonged standing.

- U.S. citizenship and eligibility for a security clearance.
